Why Cable Tray Master

A manufacturer you can buy direct from, and audit

Cable Tray Master is a cable tray manufacturer and exporter under one owner. We make the tray on our own line in China and ship it with our own export team, so the price is factory-direct, the specification is made to order, and buyers are welcome to visit and audit the plant.

Manufacturer, not middleman

The tray is cut, punched, folded and finished in our own factory. You specify the width, height, thickness and finish, and we produce to it, rather than picking from whatever stock a trader happens to hold. Because we own the plant, the pricing is factory-direct and buyers are welcome to visit and audit before ordering.

Built for the environment

Hot-dip galvanized for outdoor, rooftop and corrosive sites, where the finish protects even the cut edges and punched slots. Pre-galvanized, powder-coated and stainless finishes are available for dry indoor runs and aggressive environments, so the tray matches where it will actually be installed.

A complete system

Straight tray plus the full family of bends, tees, crosses, reducers, covers, splice plates and supports, supplied together so the run arrives complete. One matched system means fewer missing parts on site and a cleaner install.

What the CTM-PT is, and who it is for

The perforated cable tray is the everyday workhorse of a cable-support system. It is a U-shaped steel channel with slots punched along the floor and walls: the tray carries power and control cables the full length of a run, while the slots let heat escape and give you a ready fixing point for cable ties. It is the tray most projects start with, because it balances load, ventilation and cost better than any other profile.

This version is hot-dip galvanized, meaning the finished tray is dipped in molten zinc after it is cut and folded, so the whole surface, including the punched edges, is protected. That makes it the right choice for outdoor runs, rooftops, tunnels, water-treatment plants and other corrosive or wet environments where a lighter finish would not last. For dry indoor plant rooms, the same tray is available pre-galvanized or powder-coated at a lower cost.

We make the tray in our own factory, so a buyer can specify width, height, sheet thickness and finish and have it produced to that spec rather than picked from whatever a trader has in stock. It ships with the full family of fittings, bends, tees, reducers, covers and splice plates, so the run arrives complete. Because we are a manufacturer and exporter under one roof, buyers are welcome to visit and audit the plant before they order.

Built to do the job on site

Ventilation slots

Slots along the floor and walls let heat escape from bundled cables and give a fixing point for cable ties, so the run stays cool and tidy.

Hot-dip galvanized

Dipped in molten zinc after fabrication, so the whole surface including the cut edges is protected, for outdoor and corrosive sites.

Made in our own plant

Cut, punched and folded in-house, so width, height, thickness and finish are built to your spec, not picked from stock.

Complete fitting range

Bends, tees, crosses, reducers, covers and splice plates are supplied with the tray, so the run arrives ready to assemble.

Widths 100 – 1000 mm

A full width range from small control-cable trays to wide power runs, with side heights from 25 to 200 mm.

Export-ready packing

Nested and crated on wooden pallets with international shipping marks, the way we already ship overseas orders.

How it works

1

Why perforated, not solid

A solid-bottom tray keeps out dust but traps heat around the cables. A perforated tray punches slots along the floor and sides so warm air can move and the cables run cooler, which matters for power cables that heat up under load. The slots also double as tie points, so the installer can lash the cables down every so often without extra hardware. For most indoor and outdoor runs, that ventilation is why perforated is the default choice.

2

Why hot-dip galvanized

Steel rusts. Galvanizing coats it in zinc, which corrodes first and protects the steel underneath. Pre-galvanized steel is coated as flat sheet before it is cut, so the cut edges are left bare. Hot-dip galvanizing dips the finished tray in molten zinc after it is cut and folded, so even the punched slots and sheared edges are coated. That is why HDG is specified for outdoor, rooftop, tunnel and wet or corrosive environments, where bare edges would be the first to rust.

3

How the system fits together

A cable-support run is not just straight tray. It turns corners, branches, changes width and needs covering in exposed areas. The perforated tray ships with a matched family of fittings, horizontal and vertical bends, tees, crosses, reducers, covers and splice plates, so the whole route is built from one system. Splice plates and bolts join lengths; supports hang it from the structure. We supply the complete set so nothing is missing on site.

Installing the run

  1. 01

Set out and support the run

Mark the route and fix the tray supports (brackets, hangers or trapeze) to the structure at the spacing the load and span require. Confirm support spacing with us for your load case.

  2. 02

    Lay and splice the tray

Set the straight lengths onto the supports and join them end to end with splice plates and bolts, keeping the run level and aligned.

  3. 03

    Add bends, tees and reducers

At corners, branches and width changes, drop in the matching fittings and bolt them to the straight lengths so the route is continuous.

  4. 04

    Lay cables, tie and cover

Run the cables into the tray, tie them to the slots at intervals, and fit covers over exposed or outdoor sections where required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What widths and heights do you make?
The perforated tray is made in widths from 100 to 1000 mm, with side heights typically from 25 to 200 mm. Sheet thickness is set per order, usually in the 0.8 to 2.0 mm range depending on width and load. Send us the widths, heights and load you need and we will confirm the exact section we will produce.
What surface finishes are available?
The same tray is available hot-dip galvanized (best for outdoor and corrosive sites), pre-galvanized (economical for dry indoor runs), powder-coated (for colour or extra coating) and in stainless steel for aggressive environments. We help you pick the finish for your environment and budget.
What is the difference between hot-dip and pre-galvanized?
Pre-galvanized steel is coated as flat sheet before it is cut, so the cut and punched edges are left bare. Hot-dip galvanized tray is dipped in molten zinc after it is cut and folded, so even the edges and slots are coated. Hot-dip lasts longer outdoors and in wet or corrosive conditions; pre-galvanized is a lower-cost choice for dry indoor use.
Do you supply the fittings as well as the straight tray?
Yes. We supply the complete system: straight lengths plus bends, tees, crosses, reducers, covers, splice plates and supports, so the whole run is built from one matched family and nothing is missing on site.
Are the trays certified?
Certification and test documentation are confirmed per market and per order. Tell us your destination country and the standard your project requires, and we will share what we can provide for that order. We do not claim certifications we cannot back up.
You are described as a manufacturer and exporter, can we visit the factory?
Yes. We are a factory and export company under one owner, so buyers are welcome to visit and audit the plant before ordering. You deal directly with the manufacturer, which is why the pricing is factory-direct.
How do you pack the trays for export?
Trays are nested to save space and packed into plywood export crates on wooden pallets, with international shipping marks and a label showing description, size, net and gross weight and origin. This is the packing we already use for overseas orders.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
MOQ and lead time depend on the widths, finishes and quantities you need, and are confirmed on inquiry. Send us your specification and target quantities and we will come back with MOQ, price and lead time.
